Forest Friends is designed as a child-centered program where children participate independently with instructors and peers.

However, we understand that younger children—especially those around age two—may need time to adjust to a new environment.

Parents are welcome to remain nearby or participate during a transition period if needed. Our goal is to help children build comfort, confidence, and independence at their own pace.

Many children who begin by holding a parent’s hand are confidently exploring with the group just a few weeks later.
